Despite its diminutive size, this temple showcases distinctive architectural features. Constructed of stone, this one-aisled structure features a gabled roof. Its abandonment for a number of years and the deterioration it endured over time obliterated any traces of its dating. Nonetheless, the affection of the inhabitants of Pachna, particularly the priest and church committees, in conjunction with the counsel of the believers residing in the upper neighbourhood of Kato Pachna, resulted in the structure’s restoration through the replacement of its collapsed roof. Particularly remarkable is the icon that depicts Agios Andronikos and Agios Athanasios together. May 17 is Agios Andronikos’ feast day, and large congregations of devout individuals gather at the church to partake in the Divine Liturgy and to beseech the Saint for assistance.
