The parochial church of the village, which is devoted to Saint George, the Great Martyr and Trophy Bearer, is situated on Trevlakas hill. A small monastery was erected in the vicinity of the present church, which is of 18th century origin, but it was demolished throughout the Turkish rule. The miraculous icon of Agios Georgios, which was relocated from the homonymous sanctuary in the village, is housed in this church. Saint George shielded the community from both the pestilence epidemic that befell Cyprus and the Turkish occupation of the area. Crowds of believers gathered to his honour on the day our church honoured the saint, not only from Pachna but also from other regions of Cyprus, to express their gratitude or plead for his assistance.
